On Saturday, Ian Danks and his lovely GSP, Juno, went through two ALSAR assessments. They did their Level 1, Stage 3 assessment in the morning, and their Level 1, Stage 4 assessment in the afternoon. They passed both with flying colours!
The stage three assessment involved finding a missing person over a 0.5 km distance. Stage four involved finding two missing persons over a 1 km distance.
It will hopefully not be long before Juno becomes the first operational dog from the current cohort in training, following in the awesome footsteps of Deborah Steele and Frankie.
